1 Series

Xelize™1 series are designed as analyst workstations and require the analyst to manually load a single device into the system. The device is automatically waste fired until the desired dose is reached and presented to a standard ‘off the shelf’ Andersen Cascade Impactor where a collection dose is fired. Once dosed the analyst removes the Andersen Cascade Impactor for routine manual analysis. Alternatively the analyst can upgrade the system to the Xelize™ 3 which automatically processes the Andersen Cascade Impactor using our unique parallel recovery technique.

3 Series

Our Xelize™3 systems are also designed as workstations and require the analyst to manually load a single device into the system. The device is automatically waste fired ready for firing into the Andersen Cascade Impactor. After a successful fire into the Andersen the contents are recovered via our automated parallel
technology ready for analysis by test instruments such as HPLC.

5 Series

Xelize™5 is our premium technology offering a fully automated solution for Particle Size Determination by Andersen Cascade Impactor. The Xelize™5 includes our Device Handling and Storage (DHS) module which offers fully automated storage, handling and transfer of your devices so that your system can operate unattended for up to 24 hours per day.

Key features include:

• Parallel recovery of all stages and plates, plus induction port and pre-separator
• High throughput of up to 40 impactions per day
• “Closed” recovery stations for both stage and plate
• Fully automated dissolution and sample recovery
• Preparation for analysis e.g. HPLC

If you are interested in Xelize™we suggest hiring the ASTECH “single stage” test bench (ASSisT). This bench replicates sample recovery from one stage and plate of the Xelize™. You can select any stage and plate from the Cascade Impactor and test with your drugs for equivalence to manual methods. This gives you total confidence in the Xelize™before committing to this revolutionary automation.
