Project Management

ASTECH utilise proven structured project management methods. The methods are fully scaleable ensuring that all projects no matter what the size, type or organisation follow the same structured approach. Following techniques based within established project management methods such as PRINCE2, ASTECH have developed a framework method which integrates fully with our comprehensive quality assurance procedures.

ASTECH’s project management team are trained to PRINCE2 standards and are experienced in managing multi-disciplined project teams on large complex projects. This ensures a consistent approach across the business.

AAt the project initiation stage each individual project, regardless of size, is provided with a comprehensive project plan detailing:

  • Project timescales (Gantt chart)
The main phases of the project are divided into manageable stages. Key milestones are indicated.
  • Quality Plan
The quality procedures and design standards, relevant to the project activities, are defined. The deliverables are shown with the relevant approval requirements.
  • Project Team Structure Chart
The role of each project member is clearly defined.
  • Interface Definition
The required project contact details for both ASTECH and the Customer are detailed.
  • Equipment/Resources required
Any equipment and/or resources required during the lifecycle of the project are listed.
  • Project Risk Assessment
ASTECH identifies any known risks to the project and outlines an approach to the analysis and management of risk. These risks are then tracked throughout the full project lifecycle.

Throughout the life of the project regular project reviews are carried out to ensure that the project follows the requirements set out within the project plan. Any change is captured via ASTECH’s change control procedure and the project plan is updated and re-issued.

ASTECH understands that structured project management is key to ensuring your requirements are fully realised with the project arriving at a successful conclusion.
