What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and allows you to stay informed of new content and updates made to websites of interest. To make use of RSS, you 'subscribe' to RSS information feeds contained on web pages and you will be notified when the content on these pages has been updated or changed.

How do I use RSS?

To access the feed you will either need a dedicated piece of software called an RSS Reader or ‘aggregator’. The latest web browsers such as Windows Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, already have RSS capabilities built-in. These browsers will usually notify you of a feed automatically by displaying RSS logo in the toolbar, allowing you to then subscribe.

For more detailed guidance on 'Subscribing' to RSS feeds consult your RSS News Reader's instructions or web browser Help screens.
